Help us find this Hispano-Suiza T30
Detlef Kayser contacted us with the question if we can help him find the 1930 (?) Hispano-Suiza in the pictures. His friend Brian Dearden-Briggs previously owned this T30 and restored the car in the early 90s. After his English friend passed away, he lost track of this beautiful PreWarCar.
Loyal readers, is there anyone who has more information on the whereabouts of the Hispano-Suiza T30 we see here?

If you do find the cars current location could you let me know, as it was the last car Brian and I rebuilt together.
Brian and I recovered the rolling chassis from the Continent back in 86. We completed the rebuild over the following couple of years.
I remember you and your brother visits The Hall on various occasions. I’ve attached a picture of a casting off the original plate.

the car went from Mr. Armitage to Colin Crabbe in the late Nineties - but with the registration DXI 41 then. I will be happy to provide further information if you contact me directly.

I would love to know where the Hispano’s final resting place is. I must have spent every evening after school & weekend with Brian rebuilding this car during 87/88.
Unfortunately, I was abroad with the military when Brian passed away.

If this is the ex Tim Armitage car, I saw it after he parted with it in the workshop of Colin Crabbe at Baston being rebodied. I think it might now be owned by someone in the Veteran Car Club.

It was once explained to me that the reason very few T30's survive is because the powerful 5 liter engine could not be stopped easily with those 2 rear wheel brakes.... remember the sand and wet mud roads of the post 1915 era...... comments invited....

Yes Tim Armitage did own this car after Brian Dearden -Briggs. Seem to recall he took it to VSCC Oulton Park

DS7838 is no longer on DVLA records. My memory may be faulty but I thought it was 1913 or 1914, he also had a Lancia Lambda that is still in UK.

I suggest contact the DVLA in the UK and ask if they will confirm if the car is still registered in the UK. If it is, they might agree to forward Detlef's contact details to the current owner. It's worth a try.

The car in the photograph has only rear wheel brakes. The car appears to be much older than 1930 more like 1913 ?
