Happy 2023 to all our readers!

Christmas is now behind us - we hope you all had a good one - so it only remains for us to wish you all a happy New Year. Traditionally,  this is a time to reflect on the past year and make resolutions for how we might improve ourselves over the year to come. We're not perfect by any means but, broadly speaking, we plan to go on just as we always have done - going out and about to lots of great events, getting lost down all sorts of byways of motoring history, and sharing the pleasure with like-minded enthusiasts.

We do need to keep on top of our cars, though, because we want them to be ready for the 2023 events season which, of course, starts today. In England, we have several major gatherings for pre-war car enthusiasts going on at various venues, and countless other more local get-togethers. If you haven't been out for a brisk New Year drive yet in your pride and joy, what are you waiting for?

Before you know it, there will be events happening left, right and centre, and the next major one is InterClassics Maastricht, an indoor show in the Netherlands held over 12-15th January, where you can come and say hello to us on the PreWarCar.com stand.

American enthusiasts may want to dig out some pocket money for the when the Scottsdale auctions roll around. Held on 26th and 27th January, they present an opportunity to pick up everything from a Model A Ford to an Abbott-bodied Atalanta drophead and a 1912 Simplex formerly owned by a famous tennis champion.

In Britain, we have the VSCC's New Year Driving Tests at Brooklands on 30th January. Exciting motorsport and 'the right crowd and no crowding' means it will be a pleasure to return to this hallowed venue.

Then, of course, from 2nd-4th February, all of the world will descend upon Paris for Rétromobile, one of the best indoor shows there is and a veritable treasure trove of pre-war cars - some familiar, some spectacular and some plainly bizarre.

In 2023, PreWarCar.com will have a stand at several events, so be sure to come and find us.

Here's to another year of happy motoring!
