Going to the market (update: 1907/08 Rambler)

As a farmer, you need to sell your food; your vegetables, fruit, chickens etc. This is now different than it was in 1905. In that time you didn't have big corporations, supermarkets etc. You just went to the local market and sell them to locals.
The picture above shows a beautiful car, probably original a tourer body where the tonneau was cut of (a functional hotrod??)  and the crates were put on. Can you identify the car?

It is clear, that the car is an adapted 1908 Rambler with the rear seats removed. The model: probably a model 248 (no louvres in the hood, but equipped with hooded dash)

In those years a detachable rear body section was quite common to make a car suitable for transport (Wyandottes?) as pictured here. To take the family, the rear section could be easily put back into place.

This farm to market traveler is definitely based on a Rambler. Probably '07 or '08. It has the typical Rambler tilting steering ring accelerator (as used '05-"08). The definitive model alludes me. It very well could be based on the '07 model 245 with a 5"x5 1/2" B&S. Quite a car for the era.

That was a 1908 Rambler, possibly a model 34. Amazing magazine, by the way! Only look at the watches collection of J. Pierpont Morgan, incredible ...
