Geheimnisvolle Doppelmagnethalterung.

Hallo, ich suche Hilfe bei der Identifizierung dieser Gussteile, die kürzlich in meinen Besitz gelangt sind. Sie ähneln im Prinzip der Anordnung an einem Brescia-Bugatti, unterscheiden sich aber im Detail sehr. Höchstwahrscheinlich sind sie an der Stirnwand montiert und werden von der Rückseite eines Motors mit einer obenliegenden Nockenwelle aus der damaligen Zeit angetrieben... aber welcher Motor?

By measuring the shaft centres and the gear clearance in the casing you should be able to work out the number of cylinders of the engine it's for. The ratio looks like it might be more than the 2:1 you would need for a four-cylinder four-stroke driven from the camshaft.
The main casting has a foot at each corner. It looks like would be attached via these with vertical bolts/studs to a horizontal platform or brackets, etc., rather directly to a vertical bulkhead. The castings looks pretty heavy for Aero?
