One of the lesser known Ford production facilities (upd. + Egypt, India, Spain)

"Banat Motor", the official dealer for FORD ROMANA SAR - Ford Factory from Bucharest - was located in Timisoara. Address: I.G.Duca Street nr.8, nowadays: Republic Street nr.8 (the building has hardly changed, see photo below). The firm was active until 1941 and was selling all types of romanian made Fords. In the photo a 1936 Ford V8 and 1932 Ford V8. It is always interesting to see how widely spread the network of Ford factories was before WWII. There is a list of former Ford facilities, and this one is not even mentioned. Do you know of other facilities which are not listed as well? Let us know.

Semantics is always a troubling issue. The wiki list seems to be where cars or components were actually made. The list of locations where cars were assembled from parts made elsewhere would be huge. As early as 1915 Ford had 28 locations in the U.S. where cars were put together from components made elsewhere.

As far as I can see the V8 emblem is missing on the 1932 Ford headlightbar, so it is probably a 4-cylinder. It also features non-standard wheels. Kelsey Hayes?

Ford is worldwide. In everey country there are differents in modelspecifications. Look at the rare artillary-wheel on the '32 V-8/B.

There was another Ford Plant in Cadiz, Spain (1919-23) that also doesn´t appear in the wiki list.

The Wiki list seems to be very incomplete. There was a Ford assembly plant in Bombay, India, started around 1928/29 because they built Ford Model A. The T was imported from Canada. I believe that some V-8 Fords were also built, upto which year I do not know.
