Five charming ladies and a lovely little dog

The photograph we see has been taken in front of a rather large Cedar tree in Stanley Park. A 405-hectare public park in Vancouver, Canada. The source tells us the photo is probably taken some time between 1900 and 1910.

Is there anyone who can tell us more about the automobile in which these five charming ladies and their four-legged friend pose? Please comment below.

From 1906 to about 1940 there was a professional photographer stationed at the Hollow Tree. He was licenced by the Parks Board for this and had a small log cabin to work from. The finished photos would be available at his studio in downtown Vancouver within a day or two. Some of the photos are of tourists visiting, but most are of families and friends in the car which is quite often new. There are some very nice family portraits to be seen in interesting cars. I know of six archives with photos taken at the Hollow Tree and it would be nice to see them all together, maybe in a book.

Seems this was a popular spot for taking photos of people in their cars. There are quite a few photos around from different eras.

It's a nice car but experience tells me that it should not be used for pulling stumps of that size, even with additional weight over the rear axle.

That my friend is a totally insensitive and highly outrageous statement to insinuate that the GVW was exceeded by the gross combined weight of those ‘ lady passengers ‘.....and by the way ...very laugh out loud funny ...too!
