Find spring in Sanremo

Coming Friday, March 7, will see the beginning of the sixth revival of the famous Coppa Milano-Sanremo. This year it’s a pure regularity rally through Northern-Italy, instead of the “road race” it used to be. As usual the participants will meet at the Autodromo di Monza, where the cars can be tested on the track. From Monza there will a parade to the Piazza del Duomo in downtown Milan, where the official start takes place on Saturday morning. The route includes breathtaking views from the Passo del Turchino and the Passo del Faiallo whilst driving through the antique villages of the Genoese countryside. After an overnight stop in Genoa the rally moves on along Italy’s Floral Coast through the ancient towns of Albenga and Imperia to the charming city of Sanremo. This time of the year the weather should be lovely with the fine touch of spring in the air. If you can’t participate now, be sure to secure your entry form for next year.
