Early motoring in BC must have been very interesting with beautiful scenery and a sparse population. The roads that followed the geography were also interesting. In this photo taken in 1913 you see a Buick on the left and a McLaughlin on the right. This was in the southern hot semi arid area of the province.

I have found a couple more photos of cars under 'the cut rock'. One is a Case car, about 1914 and the other is a Mode A Ford. This rock bluff was blown up, removed and the road widened in the thirties.
