A misty Saurer outing. (upd. Grimsel Passhöhe)

Some time ago Greg Rutler from New York found this photo in an old album amongst pictures of what seems to be an Alpine vacation around 1928-29: "It may seem odd, but I just can't read the name on the radiator of this fantastic sightseeing bus. What is it? Through the mist there is also a restaurant sign visible in the background. Does anyone have an idea about where this was taken?"
Editor RB: The bus is easily identified as it's a Swiss-made Saurer that was a common sight in the Alps. Although this one is earlier than 1928, our guess is 1925. Greg's question about the whereabouts of the restaurant might be more difficult to solve. Ideas, anyone?

editor: thank you all for your superquick response in this!

The Restaurant-Sign says "Restaurant Grimsel Passhöhe". The Grimselpass is a well known Swiss high mountain pass (el. 2165 m.). The street was built in the late 19th century. Maybe the Restaurant still exists!?

Hubertus

The sign reads: Grimsel Passhöhe, one of the lesser known passes in Switzerland. I remember it well because my father's Ford Consul of 1956 refused to climb the full height in 1960 and the car(carryinga a family of 7!) had to stop before the top and thus we missed our 'first' pass. As a compensation however we have thrown snow balls for the first time in our lives in summer!

The first part of the name of the restaurant looks like Grimsel, which would fit the context. The highest point of the Grimsel Pass in Switzerland is 3864 metres above sea-level. The second part of the name looks like Pass, but I can't make out the last part.

The sign is easily identified as it's the "Swiss-made" GRIMSEL PASSHÖHE it was and is a common sight-seeing point in the Swiss Alps.

The Saurer bus has arrived at the Grimsel Pass Restaurant in Kanton Wallis, Switzerland. The Grimsel Pass links the Hasli Valley in the Bernese Oberland with Goms in Valais. The pass road runs through a wild, sparsely grown mountainous region marked by granite rocks, reservoir lakes, and power plants.
