As from this Thursday thousands of enthusiasts will go to Essen to visit the Techno Classica, one of the better Classic Car Shows in Europe. A special highlight will be the auction by Coys on Saturday March 29th. Lots of Automobilia and some fifty cars will come under the hammer, but amongst them there’s one beauty that caught our fancy. How about this BMW 319? This model, of which only 230 were made between 1934 and 1937, is considered to be BMW’s first true sports car because of its lively, reliable six-cylinder engine and good handling. This particular 319 was manufactured in April 1935 and was owned by a German count. In the late 1970s it was prepared for competition use by TT Workshops in Great Britain. During 2005 and early 2006 it was completely restored and painted in a lovely shade of blue. Now she looks ready again for numerous historic race and rally events. Check her out! She’s Lot 324!
