Besnard light
I’m trying to find out more about this Besnard brass light I acquired recently. The mirror glass is etched with the maker and in excellent condition. It’s a very large 30cm in diameter. Can you tell me more about it? It’s age, from what car it came from and value?
Many thanks,
Ben

This is a 1914 ad from La Pratique Automobile. The price of your lamp (30.5 cms officially, the larger size) was 170 French francs in 1913, not included a mirror 'Mangin' for 20 FF. Probably a bit more now in euros. A smaller size of 26.5 cms diameter was also available.
