Bentley Celebrations!

This year there are two celebrations for Bentley. First it’s been ninety years ago that the company was formed and second is the Bentley Drivers Club commemorating its 60th year of racing at Silverstone. On August 8 and 9 the BDC will celebrate this feat with a two-day meeting at which everything from Vintage Bentleys to modern-day machines will take to the track. In handicap races as well as the traditional Bentley Parade, in which any club member who turns up in a Bentley, new or old, can drive three laps of the Silverstone circuit. But back to Bentley origins… Georgano mentions August 1919 as the date that Bentley Motors ltd. was formed; Bentley itself says that Bentley Motors was established with H.M. and W.O. Bentley and H.M.J. Ward as directors in January 1919 and Wikipedia even mentions the exact date: January 18 (yesterday!). So what is true? Who can tell us?
