Michael Schick from Gremany recently discovered a Steiger 10/50 PS Engine from 1920. For 25 years he has been researching the history of Steiger, a far form average marque (Read more about this remarkable cars at Michael's homepage Der Steiger. The factory was in Burgrieden near Ulm in South Germany. In the 1920 to 1926 an unknown number of Steiger cars were shipped to North America. In 1985 one car was found in Santa Barbara and it went back to Germany. Michael presumes there must be more of these cars that have survived. In Germany there are only two surviving cars (plus one engine now...). Read more about the new-found engine (in German) in the 'Schwabische Newspaper'. We also understand that our colleagues of The Automobile will do a special about Steiger in the near future. Anybody who has more information about Steiger or any known survivors, please let us know. Or contact Michael of course!
