Advanced pre-war transport for your laundry

Whitechapel Washhouses, situated between Goulston Street and Old Castle Street in London, 13 January 1938. The establishment suffered extensive damage during the Second World War and was rebuilt after the war. Offering among other facilities, 1st and 2nd class Slipper Baths for men, but only 2nd class Slipper Baths for women. The Advance Laundries Ltd started at 40-42 Oxford Street around 1930. By 1938 the company had several outlets including Manor Park Laundry, where this (Chevrolet?) van travelled from.

Do you also think this is a Chevrolet? Or do you think it is something else? And what about the car all the way on the left (click on the photo to enlarge)? Please comment below.

The van is a Ford model AAF circa 1933-1934. This was a one tonner. The 8 spoke wheels are the give away. The 1 1/2 truck of this period was a BB model. The 1 1/2 AAF truck of 1931 had 6 spoke wheels as was the BB. In America Ford hadn't made a one tonner since the 1927 TT. A rare truck. In America the van part over the driver is called a wool rack, a storage area for soft material to pack loads. Is this term also used in England?
