RM auctions is always good for a great line-up of exceptional motorcars. On Friday January 18th in the Arizona sale, there will be this futuristic Chrysler concept car, the 1941 Thunderbolt designed by LeBaron. The sleek roadster was light years ahead of its time with its concealed headlights and electrically operated, disappearing all-steel convertible top. On each door is the Thunderbolt emblem, a silver bolt of lightning. Of a total of five built, each in a different colour combination, this fully restored example is considered the finest and most correct in existence. It was a class winner at the 1997 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Its sale in Arizona presents a rare and unique ownership opportunity; although… this Silver Bolt of Lightning is estimated at an electrifying $1.5 - $2 million! Find details at lot 140.
