A proven performer on the road, on the show field and on camera

Largely due to the pandemic, videos are currently widely used among dealers around the world to promote the classic cars they have for sale. Without being physically present, they guide you through their showroom, storage or warehouse and show you what is behind closed doors. Others give demonstrations and show you the car in action.

1938 Peugeot 402 Darl’mat Légère Special Sport

Like in this video where Mark Hyman shows with a lot of enthusiasm this “very rare, very sexy and very unusual” 1938 Peugeot Darl’mat Légère. Designed by Pourtout’s lead stylist Georges Paulin. "A dramatic embodiment of the French Art-Deco movement, with graceful compound curves intersected by creased surfaces and bold geometric details" as described by Hyman is spot on! And what do you think of the retractable windscreen (a patented design by Paulin) that is demonstrated?

This aerodynamic light-weight French sports car holds a 2-litre Peugeot 402 engine with twin Zenith-Stromberg carburettors – boosting the output to over 70 horsepower. A powerful example that is now for sale in our online Marketplace. Read more about its history and the recent Concours-quality ground-up restoration of this proven performer on the road and on the show field.
