A proud lady in Vancouver

Look at this proud lady posing in her new MG. Her name is Edythe Hembroff-Schleicher, a writer and artist from Victoria, B.C. Who sadly passed away in 1994 at the age of 88.

The B.C. Archive archive tells us the photograph was taken in Vancouver in 1936. But who can tell us more about the MG we see here? Please comment below.

If the photo is 1936 then it has to be a TA.

The car is an MG and is either a TA, TB or TC. They are hard to tell apart without looking at the number of rubber strips on the running board, the petrol tank width and they type of rear suspension. However, if the year is correct, it is s very early TA and would have three rubber strips on the running board and a sliding trunnion rear suspension. The engine would be an MPJG (developed from the Morris Ten) and not the XPAG engine of the TB and TC.
