A truly exceptional piece of early pre-war agricultural history. This unique vehicle is a 1920s tractor / motofaucheuse (mowing machine), professionally constructed by the historic French firm A. Chanoit from Thiais (Seine). The original metal manufacturer's plate is still proudly present on the dashboard.The vehicle is built on a vroege 1920s Citroën Type B (B2/B12) chassis and retaining its original engine block.Technical Details:Engine: Original Citroën 4-cylinder side-valve engine. The engine is free / turns smoothly (not seized)!Ignition: Currently no spark. The electrical and ignition systems have not been tested or investigated further.Transmission: Equipped with a heavy-duty auxiliary gearbox and rear axle. Historically, these were often sourced from post-WWI military vehicles. It features high and low gearing (high/low range), giving it massive torque for heavy field work.Equipment: Completely intact with its original side-mounted cutter bar (fingerbar mower) driven via a power take-off (PTO).Condition:This is an unmolested, authentic 'Barn Find' with a beautiful, rich patina. It is very complete, including the early carburetor and magneto. A dream project for serious collectors of pre-war Citroëns, vintage tractors, or unique early mechanical engineering.Location & Transport:The vehicle is stored dry on blocks in Villars-le-Pautel (Postal code: 70500, region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France).
