1935 ROLLS ROYCE 20/25 JAMES YOUNG CONVERTIBLE

Beautiful and stylish 20/25 with original James Young convertible bodywork (four door, all weather tourer) is now for sale.

Fitted with an overdrive, this car is ready to be enjoyed and has been regularly used during my ownership over the last 7 years. Trips have included a tour of Ireland (circa 1000 miles) and outings to Suffolk, Manchester and North Wales from my home in the Cotswolds. 

Dispatched from the RR works on 20.09.1935, chassis GLJ8 (J2) had the majority of upgrades introduced by RR for the 20/25 series including centralised lubrication, updated compression/camshaft engine, thermostatic radiator shutters, ride control and 3rd/4th synchromesh silent second gearbox.

I purchased the car in 2018 and have steadily improved it during my ownership, spending over £50,000.

The full history of the car is known (except the specific USA owner for period from 1969 to 1973) with only 20 owners from new and the car comes with an interesting and fairly comprehensive history, renovation and maintenance file.
