1920's Motor Garage in Valencia, Spain

William Hearne is avoiding the wet & cold homeclimate and spends the winterdays near Valencia:
"June and I always try to get away [when possible] from the U.K. winters. This year we are in Valencia. We find that one sees much more on foot. Yesterday we walked the length of the Turia River Park [around 7 kms]. We came upon this lovely old 1920's Motor Garage. In view of the fact that Barcelona is only just up the way a bit I could not help but think about the great old cars that may have been serviced at this location such as the Abadal and the Hispano-Suiza [both built in Barcelona]. Also attached is a great old advertising sign alongside the garage."

Golly Antti, I took my wife June to Venice for her birthday and we had an apartment in Mestre. I took the very same photograph of the Touring Garage. I was going to include it [and others] to my posting however we are travelling with June's lap top and I cant access my own picture library.

I took a train to Mestre on our holiday trip to Venice in 2014, as I was trying to find some local car parts shop to source parts for my Alfa Romeos (with little success). To my surprise I found a beautiful art deco entrances to Parcheggio Garage Touring just outside the Mestre train station, you can find it at www.myparking.it/scheda.php?idmp=209

Just look at these ornaments at https://www.flickr.com/photos/gaismar/8653160962

(These are not my pictures, I am sorry)

I also dream about building myself a proper garage with some kind of jugend ornaments in the walls.
